Taq DNA Polymerase

is derived from Thermus aquaticus and expressed in E.coli. This

highly purified

 

preparation has low contaminating bacterial DNA. This is verified by an absence of signal after 45 cycles of amplification in template free controls using a degenerate set of primers that hybridize to all 7 E.coli rrn ribosomal RNA genes. The enzyme has a half-life of 45 minutes at 94°C. Our high concentration preparations are suitable for high throughput robotic applications and all formulations feature low DNA content.
