D-Stem SFM is a serum-free medium developed for the expansion of CD34+ and other hematopoietic stem cells from umbilical cord blood. The medium also promotes expansion of mononuclear hematopoietic stem cells from bone marrow, mobilized peripheral blood and liver. D-Stem SFM contains HSA as the only animal derived component. Additional L-glutamine is not necessary as D-Stem SFM contains a glutamine dipeptide. The medium contains neither antibiotics or cytokines. For CD34+ and CD133+ cell expansion, the addition of 50X Growth Factor Cocktail #1 (CM13002) is recommended.
