Description:
Bacteriophage Φ29 DNA Polymerase
is derived from
Baccillus subtilus bacteriophage Φ29 and expressed in
E.coli. This DNA polymerase is highly processive and accompanied by strong strand displacement activity allowing for highly efficient DNA amplification at mesophilic temperatures. Bacteriophage Φ29 DNA Polymerase
also possesses a 3'-5' exonuclease (proofreading) activity that prefers single-stranded DNA templates. This
highly purified preparation has low contaminating bacterial DNA. Our high concentration preparations are suitable for high throughput robotic applications and all formulations feature low DNA content.
